High-end architectural hardware company is seeking a freelance product designer for assistance with 2D CAD drawings using Solidworks software. Candidate must have minimum 3 yrs. experience using Solidworks and must have his/her own current license. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the design director by creating/revising 2D manufacturing drawings and providing client spec sheets whenever requested
- Creating/editing 3D models as needed
- Maintaining all drawings, specs sheets, etc. well organized and filed
- Creating STL files for in-house rapid prototyping
It is also preferable that the candidate have at least a basic knowledge of metal fabrication techniques (particularly sand casting and investment casting) and it is also desirable for the candidate to have some degree of mechanical aptitude.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
This is a part-time job.
